The PhysioDriver© Concept

Our strategy is to provide products and services to the global golf market focusing on maximizing the physical potential of the human body in terms of rotation and flexibility. A multitude of interacting factors determine success or failure in golf. One of these factors is flexibility.

The PhysioDriver product line has been designed by a team of Orthopaedic MDs and Physical Therapists to optimally prepare the body for the physical exertion associated with golf in terms of rotation and flexibility. We studied the way in which golfers warm up prior to teeing up and saw a considerable improvement potential in this area.

The full golf swing is one of the most complex movements in sports. It necessitates strict coordination, balance, timing strength and flexibility.

Most golfers are hampered by lack of mobility in the back, hips and shoulders. The result is wasted motion (poor directional control), lack of swing speed (loss of /or inadequate distance) and increased risk of injury. Increases in back, hip and shoulder mobility will decrease risk of injury and lead to a more solid, efficient motion and increased club head speed when combined with fundamentally sound technique. The proper coiling and uncoiling motion in a fundamental swing requires excellent mobility and the rotation puts tremendous stress on the spine.

Age, gender and genetics influence mobility. Maintaining or improving range of motion is important both athletic performance as well as everyday life. This is accomplished by engaging in mobility enhancement exercise. Without such exercise, range of motion typically begins to erode in the mid to late twenties. Maintaining or improving mobility allows for the efficient performance of athletic skills and for the elderly to have the necessary mobility for daily activities. The PhysioDriver mobilizing system is composed of 4 units which target the primary joints and muscles used in the golf swing
• PhysioDriver Portable Spinal Mobilizer
• PhysioDriver Stationary Spinal Mobilizer
• PhysioDriver Hip Mobilizer
• PhysioDriver Shoulder Mobilizer

Our targeted mobilizing system maximizes muscle elasticity and joint mobility and thereby improves your golf swing and prevents deabilitating golf related injuries.

Increased flexibility provides several advantages:
- The chances for injury will be decreased.
- The increased range of motion allows the golfer to apply forces over greater distances and longer periods of time.
- The greater range allows the golfer increased velocities, energies and momenta.
- The increased range of motion permits the golfer a greater stretch on the involved muscles. As a result, those muscles can produce even greater forces because a prestretched muscle can exert more force than a nonstretched muscle.

When physical limitations such as decreased flexibility are not adressed, increased stresses and compensatory actions inevitabely can become a consistent component of the golf swing.

We encourage golfers to be cognizant that just one tight link can compromise the efficiency of the entire chain. Thus, mobilizing/stretching of the joints and muscles involved in the golfswing will help prepare the body for the proper sequencing for the swing. Mobilizing/stretching programs are compulsory not only to reduce the risk of injury but also to enhance performance.
