Shoulder
Mobilizer •
The seat and handle are easily adjusted to users of all sizes There are four phases of the golfswing: take away, forward swing, acceleration and follow-through (figure 1). During the forward swing, the right shoulder is being placed in maximum external rotation. If the right shoulder has limited movement in this direction, the golf player may compensate by extending the wrist. This causes a poor technique and may also well cause pain in the wrist and/or shoulder. Furthermore,
the golfswing subjects the players to move the shoulder to its maximum
capacity thereby subjecting the joint and muscles an extreme and abrupt
movement. The likehood for injury is alarming if the joint is not properly
mobilized and the muscles are not properly stretched to prepare for this
extreme rotational movement. Therefore it is critical to mobilize/stretch
before teeing up. |
